Leitch provides remote management to Intelsat Network

Leitch is supplying its routing matrix, Integrator Gold, to communications provider Intelsat. The system allows Intelsat to remotely manage the configuration of its worldwide video network.

Integrator Gold is available in standard-definition digital and wideband digital multirate formats.

Integrator Gold has been integrated into Intelsat’s network by TANDBERG Television and is being used to interconnect a large suite of video equipment in Intelsat’s North American and European PoPs and Teleports. Intelsat’s network uses the Leitch 128x128 digital multirate router to combine SDI and ASI routing capabilities and includes HD cards for HD traffic and monitoring.

Integrator Gold is available in standard-definition digital and wideband digital multirate formats and will route any digital video signals from 30Mb/s to HDTV at 1.485Gb/s. The system is expandable from 8x8 to 128x128 in a single 8RU chassis.
