Sigma Electronics to debut Octastream digital audio signal management

Sigma Electronics Octastream family

Sigma Electronics will introduce its OctaStream family of AES digital audio signal management products to Europe at IBC2004.

These products enable engineers to mix and synchronize eight-channel audio, AES and multichannel audio into a DTV stream with a cost-effective system.

The OctaStream family includes mixers, routers and T&M modules connected via OctaBus, Sigma's proprietary TDM interconnect, connecting multiple OctaStream modules and allowing them to share inputs.

OctaStream modules include:

• DA5320 mixer and subframe router

• DA5315 variable delay compensator and DATC

• DA5325 sample rate converter

• SG5605 AES and DATC reference generator
