Sigma Electronics, a developer of high-quality digital and analog switching, generation and distribution systems, has appointed Bill Swilley as its new president/CEO. Swilley will replace Nigel Spratling, who resigned last month.
Swilley is a veteran senior executive, having worked the past 20 years for companies such as Ampex, Philips Digital Video Systems and Snell & Wilcox. He takes over the reins of the nearly 30-year-old corporation, whose digital signal management products and systems are used by TV broadcasters, cable facilities and post-production facilities. Customers include Comcast Cable, MTV Latin America, Turner Broadcasting and Warner Bros.
