Sundance Digital, a provider of high-performance broadcast automation software for master control and the newsroom, is now offering Seeker, a new system for managing television station content.
Seeker is a flexible digital asset management system comprised of a wide-ranging set of database tools that enable facility users to classify, disseminate, organize and manage media asset information throughout a TV station.
Built on a Microsoft SQL database platform, Seeker provides a cost-effective and scalable system for any facility that manages or uses video, audio, graphics and documents. It has the ability to ingest each type of media asset regardless of file format and index it so that it is accessible anywhere on the network.
Seeker can retrieve a digitized asset with any computer that has access to the Internet. Any Sundance application will automatically trigger Seeker to generate an indexed digital proxy of video. The low resolution video is accompanied by all the data that is kept with the video segment or spot as metadata. The entire video asset, comprised of the proxy, key frame information and metadata, is available for search and display through the Seeker interface.
