TANDBERG MPEG-2 Encoders pass CableLabs exam

TANDBERG Television's range of MPEG-2 encoders have passed compliance testing at Cablelabs for implementation of the SCTE 35 specification for digital ad insertion.

TANDBERG’s compact E5710 1RU and E5720 2RU encoders now have the SCTE 35 specification for digital ad insertion.

The compliance tests were performed on TANDBERG’s compact E5710 1RU and E5720 2RU encoders. The SCTE 35 specification provides a means of triggering the insertion of local digital content such as regionalized advertisements and promos.

Although CableLabs performs the tests for the benefit of the cable industry, it does not formally certify products as SCTE 35 compliant.
