Vendors roll out new seminar series for broadcasters

Miranda Technologies, Omneon Video Networks, Sundance Digital and
TANDBERG Television have joined to create a seminar series designed to
help educate broadcasters about IT-based broadcast infrastructures.
Senior technologists from the participating companies will present
this new series of one-day seminars. The seminar will address IT basics
including networking, security, compression, storage, and file exchange
— all delivered from a TV engineer’s perspective and backed
by case studies. The companies related to the core themes will also
demonstrate technologies.
The first event will be July 1, at the Tremont Boston Hotel, in
Boston. The series will continue at other large cities across the
United States. The schedule of seminars is as follows: Wednesday, July
28 - Washington, DC; Wednesday., Aug. 18 - Atlanta; Wednesday., October
27 - Cincinnati; Wednesday, Nov. 10 - Denver; and Wednesday, Dec. 15
– Sacramento, CA.
