Video Arts launch HD post with Teranex's Xantus



The Xantus features PixelMotion de-interlacing and frame rate conversion, film cadence detection to correct broken 3:2 cadence and aspect ratio controls.

Video Arts has selected the Teranex Xantus platform as the technical cornerstone for its HDTV post-production studio in San Francisco, Calif. The Xantus at Video Arts delivers real-time multi-format conversion capability to San Francisco's HD market.

Xantus enables complete format and frame rate conversion. It supports more than 100 conversion formats.

Other features include:

  • The PixelMotion de-interlacing and frame rate conversion;

  • Film cadence detection to correct broken 3:2 cadence

  • Aspect ratio controls;

  • Automatic colorspace processing between SD and HD formats.
