Chyron unveils SOLO

Chyron has introduced a new portable laptop CG system. With SOLO, a producer can create broadcast-quality content and then play out that content, all from a remote location. SOLO adds flexibility by offering a complete CG plus “squeeze & tease” package.

SOLO consists of a Chyron-specified laptop PC and a PCMCIA PCI CG/squeezeback card contained in a separate three-pound unit. It enables an operator to create CG messages plus real-time and flipbook animations. The squeezeback capabilities include two video inputs plus a background, allowing “squeeze & tease” promos, bumpers, opens, and closes.
