The Las Vegas Strip, never short of bright lights, now has an additional 15,000sq ft of digital advertising space thanks to Clear Channel Outdoor. The company’s Spectacolor division has launched new full-motion video and sound billboards at Las Vegas’ Miracle Mile Shops. While the majority of outdoor signage on the Las Vegas Strip is available specifically for on-premise advertising, Spectacolor’s digital platforms, including previous installations at the Fashion Show Mall and the new displays at Miracle Mile Shops, are available for national and local advertisers.

The digital billboards complement the recent renovation of the Miracle Mile Shops located in the center of The Strip. Spectacolor’s expansion to the Miracle Mile Shops resulted from advertiser demand at the Fashion Show Mall and its large LED video billboard. Spectacolor has received commitments from brands including Coca-Cola, Apple, General Motors, Samsung, LG, Nikon, Puma and others.

Previously, national advertisers regarded Las Vegas as a tourist-only market, according to David Yacullo, president of Clear Channel’s Outdoor Media Group. But recent data indicate that the city’s diverse economy — including a booming residential sector as well as the ongoing surge in tourist and convention traffic — has made The Strip a better location for advertisers.
