Continental Microwave releases CDX-T satellite encoder, modulator, upconverter

Continental Microwave has unveiled the CDX-T broadcast-quality MPEG-2 that offers the features of an encoder, DVB-S satellite modulator and satellite upconverter in a single rack unit.

The CDX-T is ideal for fly-away and mobile DSNG applications as well as fixed earth stations because it’s built to be rugged. The CDX-T will operate in 14 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

The CDX-T offers MPEG-2 encoding, 4:2:0 MP@ML and 4:2:2 P@ML and outputs 70MHz, 140MHz, L, C, Ku and DBS bands, analog NTSC, PAL and digital SDI inputs, QPSK/16QAM modulator, low delay mode (under 100ms), bit rates up to 50Mbit/s, DVB BISS scrambling system, DC phantom powering and 10MHz reference to L band block converter, RS-232 data over MPEG, color bars test pattern with audio tone, 16-button control keypad and low power consumption.
