Desert Sky Digital Satellite carries Scopus encoders/receivers



Scopus Technologies’ CODICO encoders and receivers are helping Desert Sky Digital Satellite offer its clients a variety of uplink services.
Desert Sky Digital Satellite, a provider of digital KU uplink services and production trucks, is using several products from Scopus Technologies’ to provide production and digital KU uplink services to broadcast clients throughout the southwestern United States.

The uplink truck is outfitted with Scopus CODICO encoders and receivers, cameras, solid-state Ku amplifiers, and its IRD-2800 and E-1500 systems.

The E-1500, IRD-2800, and IRD-2600 are all part of Scopus’ CODICO platform, designed for encoding and receiving video signals. The E-1500 DENG encoder/modulator supports digital electronic newsgathering. The IRD-2800 is an integrated 4:2:0/4:2:2 receiver/decoder with SDI output and embedded audio. The IRD-2600 is a receiver/decoder based on MPEG-2 and DVB standards.
