Digidesign and Patchwerk Recording Studios have teamed up to create Producing Hip-Hop with Pro Tools, a free opportunity for home studio hip-hop artists and producers to learn how to prepare Digidesign Pro Tools tracks at home for mixing and finishing in a pro studio such as Patchwerk.
Attendees had the opportunity to sit in on special demonstrations and Q&A sessions with guest artists and industry professionals last month.
Located in Atlanta, Patchwerk Recording Studios is a state-of-the-art recording facility whose past clients include R&B and hip-hop artists such as The Neptunes, OutKast, 50 Cent and more. Special guest producers Joey P, Phil Tan, and Mike Wilson, along with Digidesign’s Johnny Andrews, explained the techniques and secrets behind the making of platinum albums that start with the home studio setup.
The workshop closed with a Q&A session.
