DNF Controls introduces new modules for Flex Control Network

DNF's Flex Control Network uses modular, Ethernet-based, distributed control technology to deliver reliable, flexible, real-time machine control that meets the customer's control requirements.

Designed to meet the challenges of expanding or changing broadcast operations, DNF's Flex Control Network uses modular, Ethernet-based, distributed control technology to deliver reliable, flexible, real-time machine control that meets the customer's control requirements.

New Flex Control network modules to be introduced at NAB2004 include:

  • Flex Control VTR Control Module: basic control features include record, play, stop, rewind, fast-forward, jog, shuttle, slo-mo, loop play and search-to-time. The new module supports shared control with control of one to eight VTRs from one DNF Flex Control CP20 control panel. Control can be individual or ganged.

  • Clip Control: allows users to load and play video clips on video servers and DDRs easily within Flex's Ethernet-based, distributed control environment. Operators can view a list of clips in the video server, select, load and play, as well as loop and create and record clips. The Clip Control Module supports Odetics protocol-controlled servers and DDRs.
