Looking to streamline its news production process and get stories to air faster, the Dogan News Agency (DHA), has selected FOCUS Enhancement's FireStore hard drive recorder as its tapeless acquisition solution.
DHA, based in Turkey, purchased 80 FS-3 camera mount DTE recorders (each with a single 40GB HDD) from Broadcast Muhendislik, an integrator based in Istanbul, Turkey, for its newsgathering operations.
DHA is using the FireStore FS-3 DTE recorders attached to Sony DV camcorders. The FireStore direct to edit (DTE) technology allows DHA to record directly to removable FireWire disk drives in various file formats for different nonlinear editing (NLE) systems.
