Doordarshan automates graphics with VertigoXmedia

Doordarshan, India’s national television service, has made a deal with VertigoXmedia to purchase an Xmedia Suite for graphics automation and a VertigoXG system to play out graphics for its programming.

Vertigo’s Xmedia Suite of tools is used for automatically creating, managing and playing out real-time broadcast graphics. The network’s news staff will be able to create data-driven, full-screen graphics from a pre-built template library accessed directly from the AP's ENPS. The Xmedia system monitors the live data source and automatically generates up-to-date graphics.

From its headquarters in New Delhi, Doordarshan will be able to maintain centralized asset management within the Xmedia system so that all of the network’s digital assets can be managed and integrated with real-time data feeds from virtually any source.
