Drake to demonstrate 4000 Series II digital intercom system at NAB2004

Drake will demonstrate its 4000 Series II digital intercom system which has been designed to meet the complex challenges broadcasters face daily at NAB2004.

Drake’s range of user panels offer an unrivalled match of features, functionality and performance with contemporary styling.

Drake will show FreeSpeak, a fully-featured, license-free, wireless digital intercom. With a mobile FreeSpeak, a user can do everything that until now was only possible using a traditional hard-wired or desk-mounted intercom. This includes user key assignment, IFBs, groups and full non-blocking mixing facilities.

Among the other products planned for showing at NAB are:

  • FreeSpeak Lite, which allows PiCo, the smallest of Drake’s 4000 Series II range of matrices, to have FreeSpeak connectivity for the first time

  • VeNiX II, an ISDN/X2.1 networking solution designed specifically for intercom use

  • IP communications, featuring matrix-to-matrix connectivity over a customer LAN
