Dtronics extends fiber optic cable network nearly 500 feet

Dtronics pulled the curtain recently on its new OC HD extension cable, the latest in the company’s DVI line of extension systems.

Like its sister products in the DVI cable line, the system provides the freedom of extending a digital display from a plasma TV, digital projector, HDTV and the like, up to 495 feet from the video source without compromising a noise-free and high resolution viewing experience.

Dtronics’ fiber-optic transmission technology enables the extension of high-bandwidth DVI signals without signal loss. With an automatic power switch already built-in, no external power required. However, an external power supply is optional. The cable requires a 1-1/2 inch conduit and is fully compatible with DVI standard by DDWG.

The OC cable joins the OLC and OBC cables in the DVI Extension system family. Dtronics will be at booth 4874 at InfoComm.
