Video On Demand by Satellite to customers across Europe Broadband technology and service provider Wavexpress, and Europe Online the broadband internet via satellite provider announced at CeBIT that Europe Online will carry Wavexpress’ TVTonic service. Initial deployments began Monday, March 17th. TVTonic offers full-screen, high-resolution video channels delivered and stored on the PC.

The Wavexpress service known as TVTonic delivers programming with a viewing quality five times higher than Internet streaming. TVTonic customers select channels to be pushed and pre-recorded onto their home computers. When download is complete, these channels are then available for immediate, on-demand access. Customers watch whenever they like, as many times as they want, using DVD-like playback controls.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
