FOR-A establishes new division for Latin America
Jul 14, 2008 9:40 AM
Following 18 months of sales growth in the region, FOR-A has incorporated a new division to serve customers located in Latin America. Hiroaki Tanoue has been named to head up the new venture, called FOR-A Latin America, where he will serve a dual role as president of FOR-A Latin America and executive vice president of FOR-A.
The company said that because of its incorporated status, FOR-A Latin America will have the independence to make decisions about inventory and pricing that best meets the specific needs of customers in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Tanoue has been with FOR-A for 14 years. He helped open the company’s New York office and served as Eastern regional sales manager from 2000 to 2006. Most recently, Tanoue was deputy Sales manager for FOR-A, based in the company’s World Headquarters in Tokyo.
FOR-A Latin America will employ a dedicated team of salespersons, engineers and technicians who are fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. The new company will operate from its Miami office, located at 5200 Blue Lagoon Drive, Suite 760, which it opened in 2007.
