The DVStar operates in the 5.2 to 5.6GHz band and features low latency (~100mS) and low-power consumption (<9.5 watts). The DVStar bi-directional RS-232 link enables camera control, talk-back channel and pan and tilt control.

Making use of a unique multiple-input receiver processing scheme, DVStar delivers superior reception in harsh indoor and outdoor, high-multi-path environments.

The DVStar has built-in wavelet or MPEG-2 encoders and decoders and supports NTSC or PAL, 4:2:3@ML, composite or S-video and data rates up to 40 Mbps.
