Harris unveils the Atlas Analogue transmitter

The Atlas Analogue transmitter uses liquid-cooled power amplifiers for optimum cooling performance and power density.

Harris has introduced its Atlas Analogue transmitter series of UHF TV transmitters.

Atlas is the first transmitter to feature Harris’ new common platform for UHF transmitters. The Atlas Analogue transmitter features the DTV-660 analog/digital exciter and on-air servicing of PA modules and power supplies.

It uses liquid-cooled power amplifiers for optimum cooling performance and power density. The redundant control system and serial bus architecture allow the Atlas Analogue to provide reliability and on-air availability.

The new UHF transmitter line is designed to make it easier for broadcasters to upgrade from analog to digital in the future.
