HDNet announces live HDTV coverage of RNC

HDNet, the all-HD network, will preempt its prime-time lineup for live high-definition coverage of the Republican National Convention Aug. 30 – Sept. 2 from New York City .

In addition to HDNet’ selected live coverage, the network will make the gavel-to-gavel national HD feed of the conventions available to MSOs and satellite providers who wish to provide the telecast to their subscriber base. Echostar’s DISH Network will carry thel HD feed on channel 9467.

The High-Definition National News Consortium is coordinating the HDTV pool coverage produced in native 1080i.
