The Digital Transaction Group just finished a major upgrade to
WTVO's AIRO Automation System in Rockford, Illinois. WTVO-TV, a Young
Broadcasting station, added a second channel to its existing version 9
AIRO Automation System.
The WTVO AIRO Automation upgrade included enhancements to ingest
operations at the station, adding AIRO's Record Director application
and Satellite Control integration with Image Communication's CompuSat
System. The AIRO integrated record scheduling and satellite control. It
automates the scheduling and recording for multiple recurring and
one-off satellite feeds, steers the antennas, tunes the receivers,
initiates the recording device and creates the AIRO data record for
content management.
