DNF Controls launches slow motion controller for Sony's hard-disk recorder
Jun 12, 2003 12:00 PM
DNF Controls has launched the ST300-DSR1K slow motion controller
based upon DNF's ST300 slow motion controller. It was developed to
provide control over the Sony DSR-DR1000 DVCAM stream-based hard-disk
recorder.
The ST300-DSR1K provides simultaneous record and playback for live
sports and entertainment broadcasts.
DNF's ST300-DSR1K uses Sony's DSR-DR1000's hard disk technology for
instant access and simultaneous record and playback functionality. This
allows users to mark cue points on the fly and playback video instantly
without disrupting the record process -- all the while providing
operators with fast and reliable VTR-like control.
The DSR-DR1000 also features a T-Bar for fast, simple, and smooth
slow motion instant replay and single-keystroke cue marking for access
of up to 100 cue points per DSR-DR1000.
When implemented with two DSR-DR1000 hard-disk recorders, the slow
motion instant-replay system provides up to two record and two playback
channels, and allows the operator to switch between them. Operators can
also personalize control features using the controller's set-up
menu.
