Gearhouse Broadcast purchases multi-million dollar Leitch HD/SD solution for UEFA EURO 2004

Leitch will provide Gearhouse Broadcast with an SD and HD solution
to support the broadcaster's processing and distribution requirements
for UEFA EURO 2004, the Union of European Football Association.
Gearhouse Broadcast, specialists in equipment rental, sales and
project solutions, has been appointed by host broadcasters Euro
Broadcast Services (EBS) to supply the 10 technical operation centers,
technical staff and cabling for all the Portuguese stadiums.
The processing and distribution solution supplied by Leitch
comprises multiple high-definition routing systems in various sizes, an
array of video and audio distribution amplifiers and a complete base of
critical interface product. The company will also use the Leitch system
during the 2004 Athens Summer Games.
Three 64x64 Integrator SDI routers, two 64x64 Integrator Gold HD-SDI
routers and five 64x64 stereo analog levels have been purchased, along
with more than 50 compact Panacea routing switchers of varying sizes
for smaller routing applications.
