The sports cable network has ordered a SprinTx newsroom automation
system to be installed at a pilot project in its Bristol, Conn.,
headquarters. The SprinTx system comprises videoserver management
applications, ingest and acquisition tools, plus IBIS playout
applications running with a MOS gateway.
ESPN Desportes Channel placed the second order, which is for a
number of IBIS process management tools to work in a multiple
videoserver environment. The applications will track the acquisition of
sports material and the progression of those video clips throughout the
editing and workflow process. Key to this workflow management process
are IBIS ServerBase and ServerLoad, both elements of the LiveTx process
automation and centralization system.
