Leitch supplies video servers to R.R. Satellite Communications

Leitch is providing its VRnet video server system to R.R. Satellite
Communications, a service provider in Israel.
Leitch's VR440 shared storage server
system offers overlapping reliability features with bi-directional
server channels which together provide the customer with the greatest
flexibility and support for their operations.
R.R. Satellite Communications is a service provider for the God
Channel, which transmits five worldwide services, and for the Israeli
History Channel, which transmits to the United States.
The Leitch VR440 shared storage server comprises 10 transmission
channels and two ingest channels and is deployed in Reem Junction, 30
miles south of Tel-Aviv. Sold by Leitch distributor Aran Electronics,
the system was delivered with 1.46 TB of storage and has two FCR-1730
Fibre Channel drive arrays using Leitch's patented shared storage
system and RAID software, RAIDSoft. The system is controlled by Pebble
Beach automation.
