HBO Latin America has selected MassTech's MassStore nearline
storage, archive, and asset management system as part of a facility
expansion that will allow more HBO services to be offered to Latin

The MassStore system is an end-to-end advanced nearline, archive,
and asset management solution for professional broadcast environments.
It provides from 1,000 to 100,000+ hours of nonlinear audio/video
storage with full content management and tracking. A full-featured
Oracle9i asset management database provides advanced, Web-enabled
metadata access and control.
MassStore also features native support for industry-standard VDCP,
VACP, and NDCP protocols.
The new MassLogger system, which serves as a VCR replacement for
off-air logging, matches as-run files to logged video for
reconciliation, provides live streaming output of the on-air broadcast
for remote monitoring, and implements disk-based technology to store
months or years of on-air playout. The new system utilizes
industry-standard MPEG-4 encoding and playback, along with local or
networked disk storage, to offer a simplified means of automating
confidence recording and accessing confidence playback.
