Japan's commercial TV broadcaster, Nippon Television Network (NTV),
has installed 13 HDStationRGB digital disk recorders from DVS,
Germany.
The systems are now being used for the production of weather
forecasts and news, virtual reality and CG applications as well as
on-air servers for weather transmissions.
The HDStationRGB is a disk recording solution with Raid3 disk
redundancy protection. It captures and plays out uncompressed HD RGB
data up to 2K in 10 bit.
