OmniBus Systems will deliver the automation portion of an off-site
backup broadcast facility solution to Starz Encore. OmniBus Systems has
recently provided Starz Encore Group with an automation system for its
main playout center in Englewood, Colo., a suburb of Denver.
The new facility will be built in Castle Rock, Colo., about 40 miles
south of Starz Encore’s corporate headquarters in Englewood,
Colo. The two broadcast sites will be tied together by fiber and
OmniBus' Workflow Manager will automatically synchronize media between
the locales.
The OmniBus Colossus core will be controlled at the company’s
Englewood headquarters. The backup facility is designed to go on-air by
switching satellite uplink sites.
