Yorkshire TV has awarded Television Systems Limited (TSL),with a conversion suite integration contract.

The facility is being built on behalf of Yorkshire Television's Technical Services department.

The Technical Services department produces program tapes for consumer retail and also for re-sale on a global basis to other broadcasters. This requires high-quality output in a wide range of formats including: IMX, D2, D5, Digital Betacam, Beta SP, U-Matic, 1"C format, S-VHS, VHS and DVD-R.

TSL is supplying a Quartz 64 x 64 SDI router, a Quartz 32 x 32 video/audio analogue router and all the digital interfacing equipment. Yorkshire Television is also free-issuing equipment for this project.

TSL will design and build the conversion suite at its facilities in Maidenhead and the system will be fully tested by Yorkshire TV staff prior to shipping and installation.
