Bayerische Rundfunk in Munich, Germany, has ordered 25 Chyron Duet LEX graphics systems and 50 Avid plug-ins of the company's Lyric software.
BR, one of the largest affiliates of German Public service broadcaster ARD, broadcasts tvia cable, satellite and terrestrially. The broadcaster is replacing its existing character generators with Duet LEXs. The Lyric plug-ins will enable BR to integrate the Lyric graphics/animation software and Avid's NLE system editors. With this plug-in, Avid operators will be able to create text, graphics and templates from directly within the Avid user interface to. Graphic content can then be seamlessly shared between the online Duet LEX systems and the offline Avid editors.
The contract also includes extensive product training.
