Peter Gabriel and David Engelke purchase Solid State Logic

After months of negotiation, digital audio console maker Solid State Logic announced that the company’s assets have been acquired by musician/technologist Peter Gabriel, and broadcast industry entrepreneur David Engelke.
The company, which will trade as Solid State Logic, will continue to design and manufacture mixing consoles and related audio technology at its Begbroke, Oxford headquarters.
The new management team will include: Managing Director Antony David, a former sales director for SSL and head of Pro Audio at Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe; Group Commercial Director Piers Plaskitt, previously president of SSL and president sales and marketing at Euphonix; and Group Finance Director Chris Smith.
