Sister stations WHDH-TV, an NBC affiliate in Boston, and WSVN-TV, a FOX affiliate in Miami, have both purchased Solid State Logic C100 digital broadcast consoles to help achieve their goal of an all-digital production model.
WHDH is in the planning stages of transitioning its facility to all-digital. The C100 was selected because of several features including its easy to read TFT displays for metering; a flexible feature set; and the capability for 5.1 surround mixing and audio quality.
WSVN is also in the process of transitioning into an all-digital model. It is replacing a 20-year-old analog console.
