HP enters LCD fray with 23-inch monitor

HP's f2304 HD LCD monitor

Hewlett-Packard has entered the living-room display space with a 23-inch HP f2304 HD LCD monitor. The platinum-blue LCD TV is capable of displaying 16.7 million colors, has a 16MS response time and is HDTV-ready. The monitor also features a 1920x1200 resolution, a typical 250 cd/m2 brightness and a 500:1 contrast ratio.

The device supports plug-and-play devices and is energy star-compliant. Designed to complement any Media Center PC system, the f2304 provides a native resolution 175 percent greater than a typical 23-inch HDTV. It can support the 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i HD formats.
