IBC2007 to explore HD, IT, audio, versioning during content theme day

HD production and file-based IT workflows will be high on the agenda Sunday, Sept. 9, when the daily theme of IBC2007 becomes “Content production: Creation, Management and Delivery.”

The conference program offering that day will include:

  • Audio production: A look at the production of multichannel sound, including the challenges of 5.1 surround-sound production for HD and the challenge of maintaining lip sync;
  • HD production standards and studio issues: A recap of the HD production systems that are becoming available this year and a report from the EBU on its testing of HD production systems;
  • IT-based production systems: Issues confronted in the rollout of IT-based workflows and how they were successfully overcome;
  • Creative versioning of existing content: Strategies for versioning existing content for alternate distribution avenues while maintaining the highest quality.
