Indian broadcaster airs with Miranda master control

Century Communications uses Miranda PresStation to control four playout channels.
Miranda has supplied branding, master control, monitoring and signal-processing solutions for four new TV channels at Century Communications, one of India’s leading media and entertainment companies.
Controlled from Century’s playout facility in Delhi, each channel will use an Imagestore master control and branding processor for video/audio mixing and channel-branding graphics insertion, with control via four PresStation panels. The monitoring for the new channels will be performed using four Kaleido-Alto 10-input multi-image processors, which also provide signal-probing capabilities.
The facility’s infrastructure is based on 16 frames of Densité signal processing modules, which perform up/down/crossconversion and synchronization, as well as Dolby encoding/decoding, 5.1 upmixing/downmixing and embedding/de-embedding.
