Inscriber and Bannister Lake provide graphics to Rogers Sportsnet

Rogers Sportsnet and Sportsnet HD are using Inscriber's RTX template-based software product to broadcast real-time sports graphics. The content is created in tandem with Bannister Lake’s BLScoreBug to simultaneously generate SD and HD graphics and real-time output of scores for their live broadcasts of baseball and basketball.

Inscriber’s RTX and RTX HD are used by broadcasters to create custom real-time broadcast applications for the display of dynamic information in sports, elections, weather and news. RTX and RTX HD interface directly with video hardware, allowing the creation of live custom applications for split screens, multi-zone displays or crawls with links to live data feeds.

John Wrigglesworth, director of broadcast solutions at Bannister Lake Software, said that one operator can use a single keystroke to control both the HD and SD output servers, without sacrificing individual formatting and positioning of the bugs.
