IPV Curator rolled out at Five in support of transition to tapeless workflow

IPV has installed its newly launched Curator tapeless workflow solution at Five, a UK national terrestrial TV channel. The installation earlier this year forms a key part of Five’s move toward a tapeless workflow at its London facilities.

The proxy-based tapeless workflow environment runs on both PC and Mac platforms. The Curator system is designed to allow communities of media professionals add value to their content and efficiently fulfill tasks such as desktop editing media annotation, review and approval and general media browsing. It is a complete solution that can efficiently ingest, encode or transcode, at low bit rate, proxy SDI or file-based media, which can then be used concurrently by multiple users. Whatever the source of the material, the Curator version is said to be frame accurate at all times.
