Irdeto acquires French software firm

Digital TV, IPTV and mobile TV content security expert Irdeto has acquired Paris-
based software firm IDway, which provides open software solutions for digital TV
consumer devices. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition builds on an existing relationship between Irdeto and IDway. A closer
synchronization of the two companies’ product roadmaps will accelerate the
availability of products for STB manufacturers as well as digital TV operators.
