ITN selects Harmonic's Rhozet transcoding

Harmonic’s Rhozet media transcoding technology has been selected by UK news broadcaster ITN. Rhozet Carbon Coder is being used by ITN for the transcoding and packaging of news and other multiplatform content to a wide range of customers around the globe.

Rhozet Carbon Coder, deployed in a multinode "farm" configuration and working in conjunction with ITN's in-house NeMeSys content management system, allows ITN to rapidly deliver nearly 1000 video clips each day to its mobile, broadband, IPTV and commercial archive footage clients.
