With its new Snell & Wilcox signal processing gear, Jiangsu Television will operate a single central transmission system that controls six independent channels, while managing signal inputs with multiple standards.

Jiangsu TV, a major Chinese broadcaster operating along the southern Yangtse River, will manage six independent television channels by expanding its master control transmission system with a set of Snell & Wilcox IQ Modular products.

The gear will help the broadcaster efficiently operate a single central transmission system that controls six independent channels, while managing signal inputs with multiple standards.

The broadcaster will use Snell & Wilcox’s RollCall, a PC-based application that enables remote control functionality, monitoring of status and error condition, as well as gathering and viewing of error and status information reported from all equipment present on the network.

The IQ Modular range offers a wide choice of modules and enclosures, with customizable control interfaces designed to support the broadest array of activities while still maintaining ease of use and control. All essential information about any module is held on the card for instant access by the central control system. This system integration allows users to configure video, audio, digital, analog, SD and HD functions in the same box, which takes up 16 modules per 3RU enclosure.
