K-WILL’s video-quality measurement technology gets ITU approval

K-WILL’s VP21S and VP21H are double-stimulus video-quality evaluation systems that perform detailed measurement and comparison of a reference and copy videos on a real-time and fully automated basis.
K-WILL’s double-stimulus, video-quality measurement techniques have been evaluated and recommended by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in J.144. That’s the ITU standards recommendation on objective perceptual video quality measurement techniques for digital cable television in the presence of a full reference.

The VP21S and VP21H are double-stimulus video-quality evaluation systems that perform detailed measurement and comparison of a reference and copy videos on a real-time and fully automated basis. The test and measurement systems offer pixel-by-pixel comparison and provide more than 150,000 real-time measurements on each field of video.

The ITU used its Double Stimulus Continuous Quality Scale to test K-WILL’s products. ITU J.144 refers to the VP21S and VP21H as “commercially available systems that meet user requirements for comparing a source and copy videos and measuring the video quality differences between the two signals.
