Laird announces new broadcast DV converter

Laird Telemedia has introduced a new stand-alone IEEE1394 DV Firewire-to-SDI and AES/EBU digital stereo audio converter. The Model LTM-DVSDI converter joins Laird's line of routers, converters, switchers and other tools designed for the broadcast DV market.



The converter is capable of accepting standard IEEE1394 DV on a 6-pin or 4-pin input and SDI outputs are provided on two BNC connectors at 270 Mbps.

The converter is capable of accepting standard IEEE1394 DV on a 6-pin or 4-pin input and SDI outputs are provided on two BNC connectors at 270 Mbps. The digital audio output is presented via a single XLR in digital AES/EBU format locked at 48 KHz. The converter functions in both NTSC and PAL, is powered by a 12-volt power pack and is suitable for remote and desktop environments. It supports Microsoft’s Windows XP and Apple’s Macintosh platforms, OS 9.1 and later.
