Latens to secure Maxisat’s pay-TV over DSL

Finland’s Maxisat has chosen Latens IP CAS content and revenue protection systems to safeguard its new Maxinetti DSL-based triple-play pay-TV services.
Maxisat multicasts MPEG-2 content using Terayon Cherrypicker multiplexers to IP-set top receivers provided by Kreatel. The TV content will be encrypted using the new Latens Stream Encryption Engine (SEE) and will only be decrypted by set-top receivers entitled to do so by Latens IP CAS.
