Comcast has agreed to carry CSTV in Memphis, TN; Jackson, Meridian, Laurel and Hattiesburg, MS; Huntington, WV; Lake County, FL; and Monroe, LA. In December, CSTV will be available in LaPlace, LA, all homes to C-USA institutions.

British Gymnastic Association launches Internet TV channel
The British Gymnastics Association and Sportsgate have chosen Narrowstep’s telvOS to launch their broadband TV channel www.bgtv.biz. British Gymnastics TV will provide live coverage of gymnastics events. Narrowstep's telvOS (television operating system) already powers Sail TV, Martial Arts TV, Cycling TV and Field Hockey TV.

CBS names Smith head of interactive division
Quincy Smith has been named president of the newly formed CBS Interactive division. Smith, regarded as a Silicon Valley insider who has brokered many of the largest Internet deals, will now oversee the company's entire interactive strategy and help guide its implementation across the company’s divisions and online businesses.
SBS to rely on server-based production for ’06 Asian Games
Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) has selected the Harris NEXIO XS HD/SD shared storage transmission server system for coverage of the 2006 Doha Asian Games. The event, held in Doha, Qatar, Dec. 1-15, will mark the first time SBS will use a server-based production system to broadcast a live event.
