Leitch’s X75HD combines up-, down-, cross conversion, HD frame sync and extensive video and audio processing capabilities in a 1RU package.
Leitch Technology’s new X75HD multiple path converter and synchronizer continues to gain significant momentum across the industry.

Recent sales of the X75HD to television stations include KITV-4, an ABC affiliate in Honolulu, and WSBK-TV (UPN38) in Boston, where the system is being used to down-convert Boston Red Sox HD games to SD for the UPN station. Turner Entertainment Networks (TEN) has also purchased X75HD systems.

The Phoenix Suns, whose basketball games are shot and broadcast in HD, purchased the X75HD for up-conversion of legacy footage, as well as cross-conversion from 1080i to 720p and vice versa.

In mobile environments, Denver-based Mobile TV Group and San Antonio-based Shook Mobile Technology have both purchased systems for installation on their new HD production trucks.

In London, Europe’s HD studio facility, The Hospital, purchased the X75HD to use for major forthcoming projects. In addition, the system provided support for New York-based All Mobile Video’s (AMV) HD coverage of the 47th Annual GRAMMY Awards in February, and was onboard the NEP Supershooters all-HD truck to broadcast the FOX Network’s coverage of Super Bowl XXXIX in January.

The X75HD combines up-, down-, cross conversion, HD frame sync and extensive video and audio processing capabilities in a 1RU package.
