Martin succeeds Powell as FCC chairman
Mar 17, 2005 10:16 AM
Kevin Martin is the new chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
Martin, who has been a commissioner since 2001, will take the reigns of the FCC as issues that will shape the broadcast industry come to a head. In a statement posted on www.fcc.gov, Martin, 38, thanked out-going Chairman Michael Powell and said he was “deeply honored” to be designated as the new chairman.
