The NAB show expanded its IPTV offerings with a new conference series and super session that will provide telecommunications and wireless professionals with insight into converging technologies, state-of-the-art concepts and equipment for IPTV and other next-generation video business.

An IPTV Pavilion showcasing the latest products and services centered on content distribution and delivery will be featured from April 14-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“IPTV was the number one searched term and one of the most popular segments during last year’s NAB Show and we’ve seen a huge demand for ongoing education and information,” said Chris Brown, executive vice president of conventions and business operations at NAB. “In expanding our offerings for IPTV we are not only addressing this demand but looking to provide unique insight to telecom providers as they grapple with the issues and opportunities surrounding the deployment of next-generation video networks.”

The IPTV Pavilion will be in the “Content Central” section located in the Central Hall. It will provide a platform for exhibitors such as Maverick Systems, BT, ConnecTV Media International, DIGISOFT.TV, Itiva Networks, MDS America, NXP Semiconductors, Sentivision, Tektronix, UBStream, Ambric, Xeno and others to showcase their latest products and services centered on content distribution and delivery. The IPTV Pavilion will focus on the distribution and delivery of IPTV services, uniting content and new technology to provide innovative solutions to telecom organizations.

Highlights include the conference series “Telecom 2008: Building Your IPTV Business” and the super session called “IPTV Right Now — Where We Are and What We Have Learned.”
