MAXedit wins BE World Pick Hit Award

Maximum Throughput won the prestigious Pick Hit Award for its MAXedit multiuser, server-based editing software from Broadcast Engineering World during the recent IBC held in Amsterdam last month. MAXedit was one of 20 winning products selected by an independent panel of judges from the roughly 1400 exhibitions held during IBC2008. At NAB2008, Maximum Throughput’s MAXedit won two other awards.
With MAXedit, broadcasters, post-production facilities and studios can rapidly and cost-effectively set up a multiseat editing environment that's suited for news production, specialty programming, digital dailies, corporate and institutional productions and offline editing. Multiple users can access MAXedit by launching it from a Web browser. Users on a network can view, edit and render compressed and uncompressed SD and HD content without specialized software and hardware. Users connected over LAN or the Internet can simply log on to the MAXedit application server and begin editing; all editing operations are processed and executed on the MAXedit server. The scalable, multiuser HD/SD editing solution allows users to edit multiple formats natively in real time.
While Maximum Throughput is best known for Sledgehammer — its powerful flagship storage system used by such high-profile customers as CBS, FOX News, NBC, ABC, HSN, RTE and the BBC — NAB2008 marked the first time the company offered editing solutions.
